As I mentioned last week, there's so much on Joy that I could easily feature their products once a week. Hell, I could probably manage once a day, but that might be a bit boring. If you know me/have been reading this blog with any degree of regularity, you will know that I like sales; this, therefore, is where I tend to look first when I go to an online store. Whilst perusing Joy's sale today, I found this parka:
It's £34.30, reduced from £49, and it's FRICKIN' AWESOME. I already have a parka, but it's a couple of years old and it only has half-length sleeves, so I reckon there is definitely space in my wardrobe for this. Not literal space, though, my wardrobe is so rammed that I don't really need hangers - the dresses are wedged in so tightly they support each other.

about your dress: Fever Scribble jersey dress
At work, we sell clothes by London-based brand Fever. But sadly, we can't stock everything we they have to offer, and since I don't make the decisions, I often miss out on a lot of pretty. Fever's dresses tend to retail at about £60, and because of this I've never bought Fever clothes from anywhere but Aspire, since the staff discount makes the prices much more Ria-friendly.
However, like all of my favourite companies, Fever have SALES (yep, it's that word again). Whilst perusing the current price-reduction bonanza, I found this beauty:
Reduced from £65.99 to £29! Yes, mathematicians, that is indeed less than half price. But! It also comes in red (Fever describe it as orange, but I disagree):
And I can't decide. It's too hard. Someone do it for me?

about your shoes: Henry Oxford shoes by Moschino Cheap and Chic
Every time I walk past Mosaique in Stratford, I frequently slow down purely to stare at these babies...
They're Moschino Cheap and Chic Henry Oxford shoes, and if it was possible to have children with them, I would. Hopefully they'd get the shoes' beauty and my brain. It was an absolute nightmare trying to find these online, especially since Mosaique scares me too much with its pricey wares for me to go in and ask what they were called. In there the shoes will set you back £205, but I've found them on Amazon's US site here for $209.15.

about your clock: Lula Whale clock from Hunkydory Home
There's a lot of things I like about Twitter (follow me here), and I consider the strangest of those things to be my love of the Fail Whale. For those who have never met the whale, he appears when Twitter gets a little too busy for its boots, and he looks like this:
This whale is called Lula, and the clock will set you back a mere £30. Lula also comes as a wooden print, for £32:
He just looks so happy! Much nicer than the page just crashing - kudos, Twitter. Anyway, this lovely clock from Hunkydory Home reminded me of the Fail Whale:

about your dress: Culture ribbon smock from Be Gorgeous
There is a lovely shop on Smith Street in Warwick (opposite Aspire Style's Warwick branch) called Be Gorgeous, run by a lovely lady called Lindsey. She sells lots of lovely things, and right now I'm totally coveting this smock (£40):
Look! It ties at the back with a pretty red bow!
And it has pockets. Ilike love am dangerously obsessed with pockets. The only trouble is, do I want it in white or black?
Gosh darn decisions, I never have been very good at making them.
You can follow Lindsey on Twitter here for Be Gorgeous updates - and she does awesome competitions too!

about your top: Brat and Suzie Grey Bird Hoodie
I don't often wear hoodies. I dressed with little care or attention for the first two decades of my life before pulling my finger out and making an effort, and now I only own one pair of jeans in some kind of attempt to make up for all the pretty I've missed out on; I have friends who have never seen me in trousers (because I wear dresses and skirts, not because I walk around in my pants). However, because "slobbing around" in "sweatgear" is sometimes necessary, I would like someone to buy me this:
Birds and bows! I like both of those things! It's £32, and is a Brat and Suzie design exclusive to Pret a Portobello.

about your shop: Laura Ashley homewares sale
I went into Laura Ashley in Stratford a couple of weeks ago, and bought a beautiful vase, which looks marvellous with lots and lots of daffodils in. Sadly for you, it's sold out online and been taken off their website, but fret not! I've found some other pieces of loveliness for you to spend your allowance from your sugar daddy/hard-earned cash on.
This Botanical Birds printed jug is out of stock online, but check your local shop because they may still have some available. The colours are similar to the jug I bought, and it's almost as pretty. Almost. It's £13.86.
I'm rubbish at maths (honestly, I have serious issues with counting, which is probably why I'm so crap with money), but I'm clever enough to know that big mug = lots of tea, which is fine by me. This red and white spot round mug is £5.04.
This pink cut glass perfume bottle is so pretty, I think if you lifted off the stopper you'd smell fresh wild flowers and hear angels singing. Which makes it an absolute bargain at £9.45.
I would like to fill this large optic glass storage jar with sweets (probably strawberry Millions) and set up my own tuck shop. I'd be the only customer, but it'd be fun! Right? You can set up your own for £15.83 (sweeties not included).

about your dress: heart print dress from Joy
I like Joy (both the feeling and the shop), so much so that there's enough on there for me to spend a whole day blogging about my favourite items. Unfortunately, I do have a full time job, and am always booked several weeks in advance at the weekend because I'm just so darn popular, so this simply isn't practical. As a compromise, I'm thinking of doing a Joy piece every week in order to satiate my love for their wares. Consider this the first!
This beautiful heart print dress is the bees knees:
It's £49, which I think is reasonable, but it's now only available in a size 12. Considering I began my diet today, I don't think 12 is on the immediate realistic horizon, so I'm going to have to pass. SIGH.

about your shoes: Faith sale
Golly gosh, with Drapers reporting today that Faith is on the brink of administration, I thought I'd better get this post out faster than intended (it's been chilling out as a draft til I had a bit more time for it). In summary, these are my four favourite pieces from the Faith sale. Yes, another sale. I'm poor. Sale is my favourite word.
Oh my, little Catkin shoe, you're very pretty aren't you? And what's that? You're now £30, reduced from £60? Let's be friends.
These boots are called Squirell (I would like to assume this isn't just a spelling mistake, but I fear the worst). If I had the legs for them, I would not squirrel them away, I would wear them lots. Do you see what I did there? With the squirrel pun? Genius.
Selina at Never Enough Shoes (pure brilliance in shoe-related blog form) has already blogged about these Sash cowboy boots (half price at £37.50), but with good reason: they rule. Although to answer her 'What Would I Wear With These' question, I'd go with my jersey flowery skirt, black top and denim shirt.
And let us not forget, Faith sell bags too! Like this Btara clutch bag. I don't have too much faith (ha!) in Faith's bags - the two I've bought before didn't have a great lifespan - but it's only a tenner. That's almost Primark cheap!
I have to admit, I'll be sad if Faith can't be saved; I worked there on Sundays when I was at school, and as a company, they treated me ok. Until a vile woman became manager and regularly made me 'villain of the week' because I didn't open enough account cards. I think 'villain' was a little harsh, it's not like I stole baby dalmatians for their fur.

about your dress: Peacock feather print shift dress from Anusha
I can't quite remember how I found Anusha, but I have a feeling it was through some sneaky advertising on Google. I can't be annoyed about it though, because it's led me to this beauty:
Ooh, pretty! I love the colour of peacock feathers, but sometimes their use in clothing can be a little bit 'LOOK AT ME I'M A GIANT PEACOCK FEATHER', and that puts me off. This print is small and understated, and I think it works really well on the classic shift shape. Best thing about it: it was £129, and now it's £64! There are only size 16s left though, which is almost tempting enough to stop me dieting (this would be a Bad Thing, but when you chuck in the brownies my housemate's made, it's probably inevitable).

about your shop: Anthropologie.eu SALE
I was going to make my second Anthropologie-related post about their fantastic homewares section, but this plan was ruined today when an email dropped into my inbox heralding the arrival of the Anthropologie.eu sale section. I nearly choked on my cold pizza, I swear. Upon investigation, it's actually quite decent; the discounts are varied but generous, and the quality of the reduced items is quite high. In fact, the Leading Role dress (which I blogged about previously) has been reduced from £88 to £49.95:
The Akebia dress is one of my favourites, and is now £39.95, reduced from £148. Crazy prices!
I would wear the Sun Dot dress now with a navy cardigan, and in the summer with massive yellow flowers in my hair (I'm talking so big people would stare):
It's not just clothes on sale. This Cheetah Rose headband comes dangerously close to looking cheap, but just avoids it by being exactly the right colour. And Cheetah is the new Leopard, dontcha know.
And homewares too! Like this pretty Dyed Medallion knob (I've recently developed a big thing for door knobs, expect a blog post on them very very soon):
So go! Shop! Things are selling out as fast as cans of beans before a nuclear holocaust. I just wish they could have waited 'til my payday... If you buy anything, please let me know so I can live vicariously through you.

about your print: YeeHaw on Etsy
I like Etsy, and I especially like finding new things on there. Because it's such a vast maze of talent (some of which is questionable), stumbling across work you really like is a bit like winning on a scratchcard - not loads, just a tenner or something - it feels a bit surprising and very satisfying, and you feel lucky and special. Just me? Righto...
Anyway, one of my favourite Etsy shops is that of Yeehaw Industries, based in Tennessee (which kinda sucks, because all international orders have to be over $75). The shop slogan is 'All letterpress, all the time', which is accurate, but within this Yeehaw has found massive scope for variation in design. Take, for example, this lovely Cupcakes print ($25):
And contrast it with this ($30):
Now THAT'S what I call variation. I love the old school typography (I have a weakness for fonts, especially vintagey circus fonts), and I want to buy so many of the items Yeehaw has for sale (372 at the time of writing) that I'd have to dedicate my entire flat to novelty prints. I'm ok with that. I might start with this one though:
Geddit? It's a bear with a pole, and the insinuation is he's DANCING! Like a POLE DANCE! Since it's only $20, I'd have to find more to make it up to the international shipping level. Again, I'm ok with that, but I'm not sure the Royal Bank of Scotland would be. Oh well, I pay taxes, part of their ass is mine!

about your pan: Vintage saucepan at Patchwork Harmony
The Domestic Sluttery newsletter recently did an interview with the lovely Caroline Taylor of Patchwork Harmony - an online store so full of pretty it's hard to know where to start. This vintage saucepan did a very good job of turning my head though:
I'm an awful cook, so I would be tempted to use this as a little planter for some bulbs. Anyway, it's only £10.95, and there's only one, and if no one buys it by pay day IT'S MINE.

about your shoes: Irregular Choice Splash sandals
Sorry for the absence over the past week, I've been celebrating my birthday to the maximum, and recovering in equal measure. But in this time I've also found muchos pretty to write about, so it wasn't completely fruitless!
Irregular Choice have gained a (well-deserved) reputation for being a little bit eccentric in their design, but that doesn't mean they don't cater to the less ostentatious among us. Whilst perusing their website for work (I needed pictures), I fell in love. With these:
They're called Splash and they're £65, which is too rich for my blood, but I love everything about them! They look comfy, and I like the frayed fabric tie at the back (especially since I'm one of those wear-things-til-they-break types - these are supposed to look that way). Grey too dreary for you? Not to worry...
